Torkenbrand licked Morningdream's neck tenderly and said,"You know, fighting is the only way to survive in Demonclan. That's how I survived, by killing, that's how mostly every cat survives. Any cat that decides to just run away, they are killed faster." He flicked his tail sadly.

Morningdream nodded. The expression on her face was pale. She didn't want to lose another child.

Morningdream decided to look down and see what went on in each Clan. In HillClan, the Leader was addressing her Clan. She skipped over DemonClan, knowing that the fight still raged. She looked down at Darkfur and OceanClan, and saw kits being apprenticed in TreeClan. She looked at SpiritClan and her heart stopped. There, she saw Palekit.

Morningdream woke up. None of her kits were with her. She went outside and saw Nightkit tackling his beloved sister, Darkkit. "Where's Palekit?" Morningdream asked. They only shrugged. Morningdream tried to calm herself, but couldn't. "Where's Palekit?" She moaned loudly to the camp. "Has anyone seen Palekit?" The warriors all jumped into action, and Morningdream left her kits with another queen. Morningdream caught her kit's trail first, yowling. They took off after her. She followed the scent to the Two-legs place. The scent stopped at the Thunderpath. Morningdream knew that chance of a kit reaching the other side saftely. It wasn't very good. With a heavy heart, she had trudged back to camp.

And yet, here Palekit was, speaking to a warrior! Morningdream looked to Torkenbrand proudly. "Palekit's alive!" She murmured. ((Just go along with Snowstar's little plot.))

Torkenbran smiled brightly and bounded to his mate's side. He glanced down at Palekit talking to the warrior, and he yowled happily,"Palekit! I can't believe Palekit is still alive!" His tail was flicking wildly with happiness. The sadness washed away as if never being there, and he was laughing slightly with relief.
